Using ratings responsibly: Treat these ratings and score bands as reflection prompts, not validated measures of teacher effectiveness. Do not use the total to rank teachers or determine appraisal outcomes. If a dimension was not observed, leave it unrated and explain the missing evidence in your notes; a partial total is not comparable with a completed one. Interpret any rating alongside student work, teacher reflection and evidence across time.
