Nine Standards for the Site
1. Opinion, Practice & Research
Professional judgement and practitioner experience are valuable, but they are not the same as formal research. Articles should distinguish clearly between interpretation, experience, research evidence and policy requirements.
4. Research Transparency
Original surveys, reports and index findings should state methodology, sample size, data source, limitations and the period in which data was collected.
7. Corrections & Updates
Material should be updated when significant factual changes are identified. Material errors should be corrected rather than silently preserved for appearance.
2. Evidence & Sources
Where factual claims depend on external evidence, appropriate sources should be cited or linked where practical. Research summaries should represent the source accurately rather than overstate conclusions.
5. Frameworks & Diagnostics
Tools such as the School Transformation Framework and Index are practitioner frameworks unless validation studies establish specific psychometric or benchmarking claims.
8. Commercial Independence
Consulting services, speaking work, books or future partnerships may be referenced where relevant, but commercial relationships should not be presented as independent research evidence.
3. Case Studies
Case studies should protect privacy where required. Outcomes should not be attributed to an intervention unless the available evidence supports that interpretation.
6. AI-Assisted Work
AI may support editing, research and drafting, but it should not be used to invent personal experience, client results, citations, data or case studies.
9. Respect for Context
Recommendations should consider age group, curriculum, regulation, culture, school capacity and student needs. A practice that works in one context may not transfer directly to another.
